The Yuin Folk Club Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated association with the purpose of promoting and presenting folk music, lore and dance to the far south coast NSW community, emphasizing the multi-cultural and indigenous essence of Australia’s music today.
It was founded by locals Elizabeth Andalis, Margaret Opie, Jim Macquarrie and others.
They were keen to start a festival and combined with Cec Cox to form the Yuin Folk Club in 1995. Auntie Eileen Morgan helped obtain permission from the local Yuin elders to use the Yuin name.
Concerts, featuring local, national and international performers, are held at the Cobargo Hotel and the School of Arts Hall. Members receive an e-newsletter with news about upcoming events.
Keep an eye on this website and the Yuin Folk Club's Facebook page to keep up-to-date with the concert schedule.
