2010 Cobargo Folk Festival sampler CD

 

 

Last year we produced the first of our sampler CDs for sale. That CD proved very popular and completely sold out at the festival. This year we have manufactured more of our second sampler CD but it is still only a “limited edition” by commercial standards.

The 23 acts presented on the CD represents less than half the acts appearing at the festival but give a good sample of the range of genres and talent that will be on show. Hopefully, it will also be a means of reliving the good times enjoyed at the festival. These CDs may even serve as an historical record of the event in years to come.

Our sincere thanks go to all the performers who generously allowed the use of their music to make this CD possible. If you like the sample of their work then consider supporting them by purchasing their own recordings.

The CD also includes a couple of tracks that are not currently available on any other CD. The opening track by Beautifully Mad has just won Tony King the Songwriter of The Year (to add to his many other awards) and we are particularly grateful to Tony & Kris for allowing us to debut this song before they have even released it themselves.
